Telescript International, a leading broadcast equipment
manufacturer, announced today the addition of both Teleprompter and Stand Alone
displays supporting IP content using NDI. Joining the industry’s largest IP
ecosystem of products and the rapidly expanding number of companies enabling
IP-based customer workflows, Telescript International has integrated NDI into
4x3 Prompter Monitors and 16x9 1080p Stand Alone Reference Displays.
Telescript’s IP monitors auto-sense full bandwidth NDI and NDI|HX
protocols. NDIsources can be selected via the easy-to-use
browser-based interface, or by the source selection buttons directly on the
monitor. Additionally, NDI tally data is available via the external tally port
on the displays.
NDI
is a brand of the Vizrt Group and a royalty-free technology that allows video, audio
and data sources to be shared bi-directionally across a standard network. This eliminates
costly direct connections, expensive cable runs, and infrastructure upgrades
while turning every source into a destination instantly available anywhere on
the network.
“We
strongly believe NDI will continue to grow throughout many industries and
essentially become the standard in sending content over IP,” said Jim Murphy,
Product Specialist, and Development at Telescript International. “Since adding
NDI-enabled devices onto the same network is easy, it made perfect sense
to implement NDI into our displays,” said Theresa O’Brien, Customer Support
Representative, at Telescript International.
“When I
first heard about Telescript’s implementation plan, I knew it was an innovation
game-changer,” said Michael Kornet, vice president for NDI. “There
has been a built-up demand from content creators wanting the elegance and
simplicity of NDI-enabled displays. Now with the addition of both the IP
Teleprompters and IP Standard Reference 1080p displays with NDI and
NDI|HX, the benefits for customers and systems integrators of IP
cameras, converters and now displays has greatly increased.”
