Arkona Technologies Kicked Off Highly Successful IBC 2023 with Standing-Room Only Channel Partner Training Event

Company’s commitment to global markets underscores rapid and steady worldwide growth

Amsterdam – 5 October 2023 – arkona technologies GmbH, provider of IP core infrastructure solutions for top-tier broadcast productions, kicked off IBC 2023 in Amsterdam by hosting its first channel partner training meeting to be held at a major industry trade show. The standing-room only event, which drew most of arkona’s European partners and others as far away as Australia, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and China, set the stage for an immensely successful show that exceeded the company’s expectations for its second-only solo IBC.

“The overwhelming success of our first channel partner training at IBC solidifies arkona as a true global entity,” says Wiggo Evensen, Partner Manager. “It allowed us to work more closely with our global partners which, in turn, allows them to work even more closely with our many customers around the world, offering local sales and technical support and educating leading broadcasters in their respective regions about the company’s innovative live production solutions.”

Commitment to training is a recurring theme in arkona’s global growth initiative as they service an increasing customer base with educated and trusted partners, prepared to provide and support the Company’s advanced technology. Additionally, the meeting’s success is indicative of the company’s quick and continuous global expansion over the past year since its repositioning from an OEM & development company to one that handles sales and support directly.

A strong focus of the partner event, and a major theme at arkona’s Stand was the Company’s new BLADE//runner FLOWS built-in tool, introduced at IBC, which makes configuration of BLADE//runner systems a breeze. Designed for Tier-1 live broadcast productions where agility and scalability are essential, the BLADE//runner core infrastructure solution provides a wide variety of tools for professional productions, including audio/video routing, compression and processing. The new built-in FLOWS tool removes all the complexity of the configuration process, presenting sources, processing functions and outputs in a simple point, click and drag web UI. Processing functions such as colour correctors, HDR/SDR converters, delays can be easily and dynamically added or removed directly from the UI. Audio, video, and metadata sources from other blades can also easily be added directly into FLOWS.

In addition to a thorough presentation of BLADE//runner, arkona’s partner - manifold technologies -introduced the audience to manifold CLOUD, the industry’s first true live production cloud software solution utilizing COTS FPGA accelerators. manifold CLOUD works in concert with BLADE//runner to provide users with access to an on-demand pool of configurable live production functionality through a single-sign-on web UI.  manifold CLOUD was demonstrated on the arkona stand at IBC.

The event also served as a backdrop for other technology partners to illustrate interoperability between arkona and their best-of-breed solutions, successfully positioning the company as a provider of world-class end-to-end infrastructure packages tailored for IP live production. Participating partners and solutions included BFE and its KSC, Broadcast Solutions’ hi human interface®, DataMiner® by Skyline Communications, VIDI management software tools, and Calrec’s audio solutions.
