The Manfrotto 502HD Pro with flat base (3/8 ” – 16) is a more comprehensive professional head than the popular 501HDV, with a sturdier structure and patented Manfrotto technology, designed to perform filming movements with compact video cameras and DSLR cameras.

The counterbalanced 3.27″ plate compensates for uneven loads caused by matte boxes or DSLR rigs. The bridging technology ensures that the friction control is not only intuitive and simple to set, but it is also impact resistant.

Of course, there are separate locks for pan and tilt. The flow rate for both is adjustable in a continuous range from zero to maximum. This allows you to use the pan bar to operate the head safely and easily.
