These TLS rehoused lenses originally built in the 1950s produce very vintagey, warm, low contrast images with lots of flaring. They have fast T stops at T2.3 for most of the set and have been rehoused by TLS for high-performance modern operation.
With a maximum aperture of f2 (T2.3) and impressive sensor coverage, these lenses have left their mark in cinematic history. Used in notable films such as "The Godfather" parts 1 and 2, as well as modern productions like "Rush" (2013) and "The Witch" (2015), Super Baltars remain prized for their character and versatility on modern sensors like the Alexa 35 and Alexa Mini LF.
