With a sensor similar to that of the earlier EOS C300, the EOS C500 makes full use of its 8.8-Mp Super 35mm-size CMOS imager through 3G-SDI output of 4K RAW. Its ergonomic design tailored to the digital cinema industry includes large and easily accessible buttons, plus signal output rates up to 60 fps with 10-bit 4K RAW data stream. It can also capture up to 120 fps at 4K half RAW using both 3G-SDI outputs. The EOS C500 is also optimized for established feature film workflows, with the capability to record 50 Mb/s proxy files to the CF card, allowing for quick rough-cut or dailies post-production.
