CRYSTAL VISIONS SYNCHRONISING UP DOWN CROSS CONVERTER PROVIDES TIMED SIGNALS IN TWO FORMATS Posted: 29/06/2012
CRYSTAL VISIONS SYNCHRONISING UP DOWN CROSS CONVERTER PROVIDES TIMED SIGNALS IN TWO FORMATS

Crystal Vision now allows broadcast engineers to synchronise sources timed to a different reference or correct any processing delays while up or down converting. With flexible conversions between SD, 720p, 1080i and 1080p, the Up-Down-AS 3G synchronising up/down/cross converter provides an output picture quality that broadcasters standardise on and can perform two different conversions simultaneously, giving a continuous clean output in two formats thanks to two downstream synchronisers. It is available in four versions as the Up-Down-AS 3G, Up-Down-AFDS 3G, Up-Down-ATS 3G and Up-Down-ATXS 3G with each version providing different features.

CRYSTAL VISION SHOWS NEW MULTI-FUNCTIONAL INTERFACE PRODUCTS AT NAB2012 (BOOTH N1815)

Crystal Vision will be showing its latest multi-functional interface products on Booth N1815 at NAB2012 six new modules designed for embedding, synchronising, up and down converting and delaying 3Gb/s, HD and SD signals as well as transmitting them over longer distances. The multi-functionality of these 100mm x 266mm boards saves the broadcast engineer rack space and money: TANDEM 310 can embed and de-embed both digital and analogue audio simultaneously while decoding Dolby E, SYN-A 3G mixes an embedded audio synchroniser with an AFD inserter, Up-Down-AS 3G combines a dual converting up/down/cross converter with two synchronisers, and AVDELAY 3G replaces separate video and audio delays. All additionally include integrated fibre input or output connectivity in a single frame slot for further multi-functionality, while most work with four groups of audio and feature sophisticated handling of Dolby E.
