Avid and the University of Salford back the next generation of industry talent Posted: 29/03/2012
Avid and the University of Salford back the next generation of industry talent

Avid today announced that its 18-year partnership with the University of Salford has been further cemented with the opening and sponsorship of a complete Avid state-of-the-art newsroom at the Universitys new MediaCityUK facility.

The newsroom, a key part of the building opened last week by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, includes the latest Avid iNews, Avid NewsCutter and Avid Media Composer software. The Universitys investment in this technology, which has been subsidised by Avid, means students will learn and have access to industry-standard professional broadcast news solutions. Through this partnership the University of Salford also becomes a Certified Avid Training Centre, giving students the assurance that their educational programme has been devised in line with stringent industry standards.
