The Global Media and Entertainment Talent Manifesto and All Spring Media today announce the launch of a brand-new Broadcast Technical Assistants Skills Bootcamp offering adults across England the chance to gain cutting-edge skills for careers in broadcasting and media technology.
Funded by the Department for Education through Buckinghamshire Council, Skills Bootcamps are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee. These tailored programmes are designed to help adults gain in-demand skills and fast-track into jobs, apprenticeships, or further study.
The Broadcast Technical Assistants Bootcamp is delivered as a two-week intensive course, providing participants hands-on experience with the latest tools, technologies, and workflows shaping the modern media industry – from audio/video capture and editing to IP-based broadcast systems and file-based workflows.
“The Skills Bootcamps programme is about giving people real, practical training that leads directly into work,” said Carrie Wootten, CEO, Media Talent Manifesto. “This Media Technology Bootcamp will equip learners not just with technical know-how but with the confidence and problem-solving skills that employers in the media technology sector are looking for.”
Delivered by All Spring Media in partnership with the Global Media and Entertainment Talent Manifesto, the Bootcamp will take place at Sky Studios, Elstree, and has been designed with industry partners to ensure pathways into real jobs.
“For anyone curious about the behind-the-scenes technology that powers TV, film, and digital content, this is a unique opportunity,” said Martina Porter, Managing Director, All Spring Media. “It’s about giving people the skills, behaviours, and confidence to thrive in a fast-changing industry.”
The programme will offer participants hands-on, industry-relevant training across vision mixing, monitoring, troubleshooting, editing and encoding, alongside exposure to the latest innovations in IP broadcast systems and data security. With direct involvement from employers, the Bootcamp is structured to connect learners with real opportunities and provide the confidence and technical foundation required to succeed in a fast changing media industry.
