France 3 Nouvelle Aquitaine (.3NoA) is a 100% regional channel that aims to promote culture and creativity at regional level.
At the beginning of 2024, the channel launched a call for tenders to acquire a Saas system for managing the delivery and compliance of its programmes. The requirement? To enable audio and video quality analysis, correct R128 loudness or transcode media to the France Télévisions standard.
Eolementhe©, a complete and scalable solution
In addition to its functional requirements, which it meets perfectly, the Eolementhe© solution was chosen by .3 NoA for its modularity, elasticity and financial flexibility.
A collaborative web portal for creating workflows and exchanging media files, Eolementhe© offers multiple functions: editing, transcoding, quality control, audio level correction, insertion of metadata, multilingual and SDH subtitling, generative AI, watermarking for audience measurement, delivery and publication, all within a single user-friendly interface.
As part of this project, Videomenthe is providing .3 NoA with transcoding, quality control using Interra Systems' Baton® tool, audio loudness, validation, conditional and delivery functionalities.
A customised collaborative validation workflow
Videomenthe worked with the .3 NoA teams to create a tailor-made sequential workflow, managed end-to-end on Eolementhe©.
Technical tasks (loudness correction, quality control, transcoding) are triggered automatically and followed by human intervention.
The technical manager and the on-air monitoring and control teams are notified by e-mail to carry out the technical analysis and the graphic and ethical validation, directly on the Eolementhe© web portal:
✅ The file is compliant: the RTB file is delivered.
❌If not, processing is stopped and the contributor is notified so that any non-conformities can be amended.
These validation stages allow the various users to intervene after each automated stage, guaranteeing fluidity, speed and efficiency.
Eolementhe© makes our lives easier by automating these technical checks. The on-air team also saves precious time when viewing programmes, which used to be done on a single local workstation! Now, we can validate content together, from anywhere, using Eolementhe©‘s highly intuitive web interface’, explains Nathalie Weil, Broadcast Operations Manager at .3 NoA.
‘We're delighted with this partnership! .3 NoA's use case is exactly what Eolementhe is all about: a web platform designed for operators, to streamline exchanges through collaborative working and the automatic-human mix!’ concludes Muriel Le Bellac, President of Videomenthe.
