Custom Consoles will promote its full range of technical furniture at the October 24th 2024 KitPlus Show in Manchester’s MediaCity. Occupying centre stage will be the latest-generation height-adjustable M-Desk Technical HA.
Originally launched in Q3 2022, M-Desk Technical HA is heavy-duty workstation with an electrically motorised desktop which can be adjusted in height from 66 to 125 cm above floor level. It allows media professionals to set the desk height to match their personal preference or transition quickly between seated or standing work modes. The latest version also offers options such as a desktop induction pad to charge mobile devices. Retained features include a massive 400 kg total lifting capacity, optional personal or PC storage, plus a wide choice of worktop surface finishes in hard-wearing Marmoleum. Free-standing 19 inch desktop pods can be specified at the time of order or added later.
“We will also be promoting our Module-R control room furniture, System Two and EditOne editing and graphics workstations, and MediaWall monitor display mounts, plus our ability to create project-specific desks to meet special demands or unusual applications,” adds Gary Fuller, Custom Consoles’ Sales Manager.
Module-R is designed to offer the greatest possible freedom of choice in terms of desk size, configuration and facilities. Unlike one-piece control room furniture, Module-R desks can be expanded or reconfigured at any time during their working life. Auxiliary pods accommodating 19 inch rack-mounting equipment can be specified for Module-R desks at the time of installation or added later. Individual elements such as desktops can be replaced easily if required for operational or aesthetic reasons.
SystemTwo comprises a rectangular desk and parallel monitor shelf, both of which are electrically height adjustable from 66 to 120 cm. Designed for postproduction environments, it gives operators the choice of working while seated or standing. Other elements in the SystemTwo series include an 11U equipment pedestal, underslung 3U equipment pod and 27U equipment bay.
EditOne was developed for use in video edit suites and broadcast graphics areas. It goes beyond traditional rectangular styling by using sculpted MDF support panels rather than metal legs. The curved theme is carried through to the desktop and a raised monitor shelf, both of which are optimised for a centrally seated operator. The EditOne desk incorporates three equipment pods with a collective 9U of rack space. These form the base of a monitor shelf. Full cable management is provided. Power distribution is optional. An auxiliary equipment pedestal with an additional 9U of rack space and an integral worktop is also available.
MediaWall is a video and audio monitor support frame system providing a combination of structural rigidity and operational versatility. Flat-screen video displays of practically any size can be mounted in almost any configuration. Incorporating height-adjustable horizontal beams and T-slot mounts, MediaWall is fully adjustable to ensure optimal sight lines. Individual or multiple frames can be used in self-supporting mode or coupled directly to the studio wall. Video display screens can be positioned so that the edges meet exactly to form a continuous horizontal display limited only by the monitor panel bezel. Monitor signal and power cables are fully concealed and can enter or leave the structure at any desired point.
