Zero Density Releases AI-powered Talent Tracking Product

Today, Zero Density releases TRAXIS talentS, an industry-first AI-powered markerless stereoscopic talent tracking system that can identify the people inside the 3D virtual environment without any wearables. talentS is the first product of Zero Density’s new brand TRAXIS, with which Zero Density addresses the challenges of tracking and emphasizes its approach to open new doors and possibilities in virtual production. Deploying talentS makes beacons or wearables -talents had to wear to track their movement- obsolete, thus giving more flexibility and ease in moving in virtual studios.

Live TV production in the AWS Cloud Posted: 06/10/2021
Live TV production in the AWS Cloud - Broadcasters ClipMyHorse.TV FEI.tv use LOGIC PORTAL modules for highlight production at European Equestrian Games 2021

ClipMyHorse.TV and FEI.tv, for the first time, produced the world feed at the European Equestrian Games 2021, taking place in Germany this summer. The competition featured the events dressage and show jumping.

ClipMyHorse used new PORTAL modules PORTAL.edit and PORTAL.vod running under the AWS Cloud to produce the competition’s daily highlights summary. Deploying the combination of cloud-based highlight clipping with PORTAL.vod and editing under Adobe Workspaces on AWS with PORTAL.edit, ClipMyHorse simplified the daily production process enormously. Additionally, remote production was easier with editors and producers located in the UK handling post-production.

Studio Berlin expands OB van fleet with U10 and sets standards with new OB van concept Posted: 30/09/2021
Studio Berlin expands OB van fleet with U10 and sets standards with new OB van concept

The German-based TV production service company Studio Berlin has commissioned a new UHD/HDR OB van, the U10, which has already been successfully used in the live production of the German Television Award (RTL). Studio Berlin pursued innovative paths for mobile production units in the planning and implementation of U10. With approx. 60 m2 working space the OB van offers up to 26 people sufficient space for a relaxed working atmosphere. It can work with up to 24 UHD cameras and partners perfectly with a modern support truck. U10 is the second production vehicle (after the U9) that Studio Berlin planned and built with the German system integrator Broadcast Solutions. The most significant innovation leveraged with U10 and never been implemented in this consistency before is the separation of control room and technology. The technical components are not installed in the OB van, as is usually the case, but are housed in a central equipment room in the support truck. A fibre interlink connects both vehicles. Because of the vehicle's size and concept, Studio Berlin is well equipped to realise even the most prominent sports productions and show events.

Broadcast Solutions Finland modernises Directors Cut production control rooms Posted: 26/11/2019
Broadcast Solutions Finland modernises Directors Cut production control rooms

In the two renewed multipurpose control rooms, Director's Cut creates the Finnish national programmes for international sporting events (e.g. football Champions League, ice hockey or tennis). Director's Cut's primary customer is MTV3, Finland's largest private television station.

After the successful implementation, it is now possible to produce up to six Finnish-language programme feeds simultaneously from two multipurpose control rooms with only two producers. One Mainfeed and two Sidefeeds can be produced per control room. Audio processing takes place in a Lawo Powercore. Control is via Lawo VisTool user interfaces and an 8-fader Ruby console for the Mainfeed and via two 4-fader Ruby consoles for the two Sidefeeds.

Broadcast Solutions created the VisTool interfaces especially to meet the individual workflows of Director's Cut. The new facility also includes six commentator booths equipped with Lawo LCUs and 43" Sony monitors.
