Deutsche Telekom Launches Feature-Rich 4K IPTV, OTT, and Satellite STB Powered by Zenterio OS
Zenterio, a leading television solutions provider, announced today that Deutsche Telekom (DT), one of Germany's largest telecommunications operators, has launched EntertainTV Sat, a new high-end 4K IPTV, OTT, and satellite set-top box (STB) powered by Zenterio OS. Relying on the future-proof, content-centric architecture of Zenterio OS, DT has enabled new client- and cloud-based features and services, including OTT video-on-demand (YouTube, Netflix, and more), hybrid local/network PVR, HTML5 apps, and other broadcast and streaming innovations, with fast time-to-market.

Forthnet Deploys Zenterio OS on Legacy and Next-Generation Set-Top Boxes
Zenterio, a leading television and multiscreen solutions provider, announced today that Forthnet, the largest entertainment and communications provider in Greece, has deployed Zenterio OS on set-top boxes (STBs) for its satellite pay-TV offering. Thanks to the flexible, modular design of Zenterio OS, Forthnet successfully added OTT services, VOD content, and a USB DVB-T dongle to its legacy STBs, while retaining the look and feel of the existing user interface. More than 650,000 already deployed STBs have now been upgraded to Zenterio OS, and the software has also been added to next-generation STBs delivered to new subscribers.

Zenterio Implements Broadpeak Technologies for Improved QoS and Reduced Channel Switching Time

Broadpeak, a leading provider of content delivery network (CDN) technologies and live and video-on-demand (VOD) servers for cable, IPTV, OTT, and hybrid TV operators worldwide, today announced that its quality of experience (QoE) agent has been integrated with Zenterio OS for interactive TV. The two companies have worked together to bring to market new solutions to meet IPTV operator's expectations: fast channel-change time, high video quality, and detailed analytics. Leveraging Zenterio OS and Broadpeak's fast channel change, live packet loss recovery, and detailed audience measurement technologies, IPTV operators can improve quality of service (QoS) and QoE. Broadpeak will demonstrate the joint collaboration at Broadband World Forum 2014, Oct. 21-23 in Amsterdam, at stand G54.
