Crystal Acquires Video Design Software Posted: 18/04/2017

Crystal, a provider of advanced software control systems, has completed the acquisition of Video Design Software, Inc. (VDS) a New York-based broadcast control and graphic data insertion software company.  The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Crystal will integrate the acquired VDS technology into its monitoring, control and metadata management solutions for video distribution over satellite, cable and internet. The incorporation of VDS technology into Crystals expanding OTT/Streaming product line will offer Crystals customers the ability to enhance reach, engagement and monetization of their high-value content.  VDS has transitioned all operations to Crystal, including sales, marketing, management and support of all its products.

PESA Earns New JITC Certification for Video Distribution System Posted: 20/11/2015

PESA, a leading designer and manufacturer of streaming, routing, and AV integration products, today announced the U.S. Department of Defense has renewed the companys certification of its Video Distribution System (VDS) solution for command and control operating environments for three years. The renewal, which already included several Cheetah large-scale digital routers, includes a new certification under the Unified Capabilities Requirements (UCR) 2013 standards that adds PESA 4K I/O cards. PESA will showcase its VDS solution at the 2015 Government Video Expo (Booth 329), which runs Dec. 2-3 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

PESA, a leading U.S.-based custom design and manufacturing company for professional audio and video signal distribution, today announced the completion of a video routing system upgrade to NASAs Mission Control Center (MCC) at the agencys Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston. Lockheed Martin, a prime contractor for NASA, commissioned PESA to provide hardware and system training for its Cheetah Video Distribution System (VDS).
