Prism Sound Makes Bluetooth Audio Testing Faster and Easier Posted: 13/12/2010
January 2011 sees the launch of the worlds first complete audio test system for Bluetooth devices. Prism Sounds award-winning dScope Series III audio analyzer now supports audio streaming directly between test system and Bluetooth device, enabling real-time, closed-loop testing of Bluetooth audio systems.

Up until now, audio engineers would need to test Bluetooth devices using a range of analogue, digital, electronic and electroacoustic audio test equipment, plus software-based signal generation and analysis tools. This was both time-consuming and cumbersome, and did not easily translate to automated manufacturing or verification testing environments.

dScope for R and D and production line testing Posted: 15/03/2010
Lewes-based Application Solutions (Safety and Security) Limited, a specialist in developing Public Address and Voice Alarm Systems for the rail and airport industries, is utilising four dScope Series III audio analyzers from Prism Sound for the R&D and production line testing of its PA/VA range of products.

"For me what sets the instrument apart is how simply the automated tests can be created and scaled up to multichannel testing by the use of dScope Switchers," comments the company's Production Engineer Terry Donoghue. "Also, we use dScope Series III script serial port functions for programming on-board devices. We've found that many programs have a command line interface that can be driven directly by dScope. This means we can often avoid a separate programming operation during production."
