Sinclair Continues its IP and Cloud Transition with Imagine Communications

Sinclair Broadcast Group continues to lead the industry’s transition to the future of television, developing innovative solutions to meet its requirements for channel playout and live broadcasting. These include a new 25,000-square-foot, SMPTE ST 2110 media operations center for Sinclair’s regional sports networks (RSNs) with cloud-hosted disaster recovery channels, and a large-scale ST 2110 production facility for its Tennis Channel featuring a cloud-based environment for pop-up live special events all built around Imagine Communications infrastructure and playout platforms.

Tennis Channel Chooses DigitalGlue for Master Control Upgrade

Major U.S. cable sports network Tennis Channel has chosen DigitalGlue, formerly TBC Integration, to provide systems integration and installation services for a complete upgrade of the network's master control facility in Culver City, Calif. DigitalGlue has recently completed the first phase of the project with the installation of Harmonic Spectrum(TM) MediaCenter(TM) media servers with integrated storage to replace aging playout equipment.

Italys Sportcast Simplifies Compliance Monitoring for New Super Tennis Channel With Volicon Observer(R) System

Volicon today announced that Italy's Sportcast is relying on the Observer(R) digital video logging and monitoring system to provide compliance monitoring for its new HD Super Tennis channel, originated by leading European broadcast services provider SBP. Supplied by systems integrator Allyn and installed at SBP facilities in Rome, the Observer system provides continuous monitoring and logging of Super Tennis channel content, which can be quickly accessed, reviewed, and exported for proof of compliance.
