Shotoku Broadcast Systems to Serve as IBC Technical Supporter

Shotoku Broadcast Systems, the well-established leader in manual and robotic camera support, and virtual reality tracking, will join other industry icons as an IBC Technical Supporter at this year’s show in Amsterdam. Technical Supporters provide equipment and expertise to IBC TV, a dedicated news channel which delivers live news, interviews and more online and to screens throughout the RAI Exhibition Centre. Shotoku will be providing several manual camera support systems for its on-location interviews and studio productions throughout the show.

Shotoku will be supplying two SH100 ENG/EFP pan/tilt fluid heads to IBC TV’s ENG crews, and three SH120 ENG/EFP pan/tilt fluid heads to the IBC Forum. The SH series features controls that make it easy to adjust the head from low to high drag, and to balance the camera perfectly, to provide the smooth, high-quality movement needed for calm, creative camera work.

The Company is also providing four pedestal and head combinations to the IBC Studio. One configuration will consist Shotoku’s TP200 fully skirted 2-stage pedestal which provides an extremely ridged base for the SX300 fluid pan tilt EFP head that is fully equipped with many easily operated user controls including continuously adjustable drag and perfect counterbalance . The other three systems comprise Shotoku’sTP500 compact and lightweight pneumatic pedestals with the same SX300 head.

IBC TV is live throughout IBC, which is held at the RAI Centre in Amsterdam from 13 – 18 September.

Shotoku will also be launching a new manual tripod series at IBC in Booth 12.E42 and demonstrating a mix of its existing solutions that include the very smart and popular SmartPed advanced fully robotic pedestal; SmartRail rail-based system; an upgraded TR-XT remote camera control system with an enhanced External Control Automation Interface (ECI); and the Free-d2 absolute tracking system.
