Professional video equipment rental company, Shooting Partners, has today launched the #MakeItVR competition. The competition gives video producers across the UK an opportunity to get hands-on experience of VR production with a shoot sponsored by Shooting Partners.
Whether entrants are looking for an opportunity to experiment and learn about shooting VR or want to create a 360-degree video masterpiece, the #MakeItVR competition is an opportunity for anyone who might be interested in using virtual reality video in a professional capacity to gain skills and experience in VR production.
The grand prize includes a VR shoot workshop, project management support, a pre-production briefing and advisory session with the Shooting Partners team and a VR shoot day with the full Nokia OZO kit and camera operator. In addition, 5 shortlisted entrants will be invited to attend a VR workshop with a Nokia OZO demonstration and an introduction to the principles of shooting VR video.
VR, AR and 360-degree video has had a huge impact on how video is used to communicate with audiences, but producing this content requires a very different approach to a traditional video shoot, explains Shooting Partners Director, Shaun Wilton. The #MakeItVR competition gives production teams a chance to play and learn without having to pay for the privilege.
