PTRip Software for iTunes and Windows Media Player

PTRip Software for iTunes and Windows Media Player

PTRip is now integrated in Primeras PTPublisher Software

Primera Technology, Inc., the worlds leading developer and manufacturer of CD, DVD and Blu-ray Disc duplication and printing equipment, offers an easy-to-use software to digitize audio CDs called PTRip.

PTRip gives users of Primeras Disc Publishers Series the ability to automatically load CDs into their publishers built-in CD/DVD drives for importing audio tracks into Apple® iTunes or Microsoft® Windows Media Player. Primeras PTRip used to be a separate software, but is now integrated in the companys own software suite PTPublisher for disc burning and printing.

The PTRip program is simple to use and requires just three steps:

Place audio CDs into a Primera Disc Publishers input bin,

       Launch PTRip feature within PTPublisher,

Click Load to iTunes or Load to Windows Media Player.

Discs are robotically loaded and tracks imported into iTunes or Windows Media Player. The process continues automatically until the input bin is empty. Once imported, files are ready for playback on portable players including Apple iPod, iPhone, iPod Touch devices and many other brands and models of MP3 players and smartphones.

Were pleased to offer PTRip to our valued customers. It lets them utilize their Disc Publishers in a new and completely different way, said Mark D. Strobel, Primeras Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  Theres no easier and more efficient way to digitize a personal CD collection than with PTRip and a Primera Disc Publisher.

In addition to the included PTRip software, Primera integrated also following software features into its wizard-style PTPublisher software:

PTBackUp: automatic, scheduled back-ups of files to CDs, DVDs or optional 25GB and 50GB Blu-ray Discs.

PTProtect: with a single mouse click, users can prevent unauthorized duplication of their valuable DVD video files. Three free protections are included; additional protections are available at a reasonable per-disc price.

For the time being, all three software features are integrated in the Windows version of the PTPublisher. PTPublisher is compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7 and PTPublisher for Mac is compatible with Mac OS X v10.5 or higher. The built-in disc design software called SureThing Primera Edition (Windows) or DiscCover (Mac) enables users to place photos, backgrounds, text and graphics anywhere on the disc, including as far into the middle of the disc as you wish a major limitation with other brands of disc publishers.

PTPublisher and therefore PTRip supports all of Primeras Disc Publishers including its new DP-4100 Series Disc Publishers with single-ink print technology. PTPublisher Software Suite is included in each and every Disc Publisher. Further to that software updates are free of charge during the life span of a purchased Disc Publisher and can be downloaded from the company's website at http://primera.eu/en/driver/software.html.

Why DejaEdit is considered an indispensable Collaborative tool in Film Productions Posted: 22/05/2020
Why DejaEdit is considered an indispensable Collaborative tool in Film Productions

Anna Knochenhauer is a well-respected Stockholm-based film producer/ post-producer with impressive titles to her name which include the likes of “Euphoria” featuring Alicia Vikander; “Welcome to Sweden” season 2 starring Jason Priestly and others.

Carving a successful career of VFX-heavy feature films and drama series, she declares DejaEdit is a revolutionary film tool that should be included in every production as industry standard. She uses DejaEdit in all her productions now, including recent films “Alone in Space” (2018), “White Wall” (2020) and “We Got This” (2020).

DejaEdit is a media file synchroniser that gives editors the ability to collaborate super-efficiently between multiple remote Avid editing platforms. “I depend on DejaEdit for all my productions because it ensures that the media files and timelines that we have created or imported in one connected system are shared and mirrored to the local or network storage of other connected systems. It all takes place quickly, securely and automatically in the background...
The fact that DejaEdit ensures all media is pushed automatically to all connected Avids means that the Assistant Editor (AE) or Editors don’t ever have to search for any missing media files. DejaEdit has saved us a lot of time and headaches."

Intinor to Demonstrate How to Do Remote Production in Live Webinars With Skaarhoj Posted: 21/05/2020
Intinor to Demonstrate How to Do Remote Production in Live Webinars With Skaarhoj

Intinor Technology, Sweden’s leading developer of products and solutions for high quality video over the internet, will be demonstrating how to do remote production in a series of live webinars with Danish company Skaarhoj, manufacturers of universal broadcast control panels. The aim is to showcase how the remote production tools from both Intinor and Skaarhoj complement each other to give a flexible, secure workflow for live production using a variety of different content sources and locations.

Interest in remote production workflows (or REMI) has been on the increase for some time now already. Even before the current global social distancing requirements created an added incentive for broadcasting companies to seek an alternative to the traditional travel-dependent methods of production, the economic and productivity benefits that REMI offers enables companies to more easily meet the rising demand for live content.

Anevia Adds Multi-tiered Storage to its Cloud DVR Storage Offering

Anevia announces the addition of multi-tiered storage to its Cloud DVR storage offering, Embedded Distributed Storage (EDS). This new feature makes EDS even more cost-efficient and scalable while also enabling storage in the cloud – meaning the solution becomes both flexible and elastic.

TV service providers are increasingly enriching their VOD content and need to expand their storage capacity without a commensurate increase in the number of users. The original hyper-convergent design of the scalable, high-performance EDS calls for more servers to be added to increase streaming and storage capacity in parallel. Multi-tiered storage means it is now possible to also increase storage capacity independently of streaming capacity.

With only a small fraction of the VOD catalogue being consumed regularly, long-tail content can be stored more efficiently and cost-effectively on general-purpose ‘cold storage’ support used by the IT departments. This eliminates the need to buy new servers and the related software licences, cutting both the complexity and the cost of scaling for a given number of users.

The newly introduced feature also enables object storage, which opens up the possibility of storing in the public or private cloud. This brings the advantages of scalability, flexibility and elasticity.
