AIMS and NABA Announce Formal Agreement to Collaborate on IP Interoperability Posted: 05/12/2017
The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) today announced that it has entered into a formal liaison agreement with the North American Broadcasters Association (NABA). The agreement is a statement that these two key industry organizations have common objectives and perspectives about the technology roadmap for IP.

AIMS Marks Second Anniversary With Major Milestones and Returning Board Members Posted: 28/11/2017
The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) today announced that, after nearly two years in existence, it has not only galvanized the industry around a standards-based approach to IP but also has demonstrated significant cross-vendor interoperability, proving that the standards it recommends are usable and supported by a large portion of the vendor community. Also, in time for the organization's second anniversary, the entire AIMS board of directors has been re-elected to another term. The existing board members, all of whom served in 2016, will continue leading the AIMS effort to foster adoption of one set of common, ubiquitous, standards-based protocols for interoperability over IP in the media and entertainment industry.

AIMS Issues Guidelines on How to Transition Broadcast Facilities to IP Posted: 06/06/2017
The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) today announced it has released a white paper aimed at helping broadcasters transition to IP with minimal disruption. The paper, titled "AIMS Guidelines to Preparing Broadcast Facilities for IP-Based Live TV Production," presents basic methods broadcasters can follow to make the shift from SDI to IP as trouble-free as possible, with confidence that products incorporating AIMS-endorsed protocols can be mixed and matched to fit their requirements.
