Mixbus, the creation of ex-BBC sound supervisor Conrad Fletcher, is a large-format sound recording and live broadcast vehicle built to produce audio for even the largest shows with reliability, style and clarity. It broadcasts many high profile events, most recently three Live to Cinema productions from the Garrick Theatre for the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company, aired to more than 41 countries.
Once again NAB in Las Vegas delivered a wealth of new developments and not least those from the companies represented by UK distributor Aspen Media.
At the Junger Audio booth, the emphasis was on reducing costs in Live production. Junger demonstrated how this could be achieved by employing auto levelling, auto loudness control, auto upmix, adaptive EQ and audio-over-IP in its D*AP range while maintaining high quality, consistent and coherent audio whatever the operator skills and manning levels.
Aspen Media Delivers a Host of New Products at BVE

Broadcast audio distributor Aspen Media promises to deliver more new products than ever before to the UK market at BVE when the doors open on 23rd February.
The buzz at the Rai in Amsterdam is louder than ever at this years IBC thanks to the wealth of products delivered by the companies represented by UK distributor Aspen Media.
MADI specialist DirectOut Technologies will showcase its unique MADI product range at PLASA at Excel, London in October and will introduce four new products to the UK market.
The first is KYRA a four source MADI monitor mixer for MADI monitoring and line checking. Four stereo or eight mono channels can be summed to front panel or external speakers or a headphone output. Space saving KYRA fits a 1U slot making it ideal for all manner of multichannel monitoring applications.
Six international companies represented by UK distributor Aspen Media will bring many new developments to IBC this September making a visit to Amsterdam a necessity.
RTW, stand 8.D92, has consistently led the field in loudness metering and mindful of the implementation of the DPPs new broadcast delivery standards in October, it will show the new compact TM3-Primus. TM3-Primus provides direct USB connection desktop audio metering for workstations and servers without the need for analogue or digital audio connections.
DirectOut Technologies Names Aspen Media Distributor of the Year

Prolight+Sound proved to be a very busy event for DirectOut Technologies, the German manufacturer of MADI routers and interfaces. Not only did it launch three products but the management team took time out to name UK distributor Aspen Media, Distributor of the Year 2013 and to mark the occasion DirectOuts CEO/CTO Stephan Flock presented an award, to Aspen Media Director Chris Collings.
