MEDIA ALERT: LiveU to Power TNW TV studio at TNW2019, in Partnership with Stream My Event

LiveU’s live streaming technology will be powering the live studio show at next month’s TNW2019 (The Next Web) for TNW’s editorial team, in partnership with Stream My Event. “TNW TV” will be streamed live to the TNW web site and promoted on TNW’s social media channels throughout the two-day festival in Amsterdam (May 9/10).
The program will be a mix of live interviews with keynote speakers in the studio, live coverage of the keynote presentations themselves, and ad-hoc conversations with festival visitors, conducted by TNW’s team of roaming reporters using LiveU Solo wireless video encoders around the conference. Some of the interviews will even be held high up on a Ferris wheel, set up in the venue grounds.
The live production will be managed by Stream My Event at its studio control room in The Netherlands using LiveU’s wireless at-home production solution. This allows broadcasters, sports and event producers to reduce costs by using their existing technical infrastructure and equipment in a centralized location instead of expensive on-site production and satellite trucks. With Precision Timing™, LiveU ensures precision measurement of end-to-end delay and automatic multi-camera sync.
During the festival, IRL (In Real Life) backpacks with LiveU Solo inside will also be demonstrated and available for rent at LiveU’s demo stand. The backpacks provide the simplest way for content creators to broadcast high-quality video from the outdoors and engage with their fans for hours via popular online platforms such as Facebook Live, YouTube and Twitch.
Derk van Lomwel, The Next Web’s Sr. Partnership Manager said, “We planned to go bigger and better for this year’s TNW Conference and that’s exactly what we’re doing. TNW TV powered by LiveU will cover all the highlights and fun insights of the event for those who are not able to attend IRL. It’s the first time we’re building a full 8-hour live show and we couldn’t have done it without the technical expertise of our partners LiveU and Stream My Event. Hats off to them.”
Ronen Artman, LiveU’s VP of Marketing, said, “We’re excited to partnering with The Next Web for the third year in a row, one of Europe’s most innovative and creative technology festivals. This year, we’re bringing the festival vibe even closer to the audience at home, interviewing the impressive line-up of speakers in the live studio and hearing first-hand from the festival visitors wherever they happen to be, even high up above the ground!”.
