KVM over IP from Apantac at ISE 2020

Published: 07 January 2020

Apantac, an internationally recognized manufacturer of multiviewers, video walls, extension and signal processing solutions announces that it will showcase its KVM over IP solutions at ISE 2020 on stand 10.S120.

Apantac’s KVM over IP solutions running over a GigE managed network consist of many different models, addressing multiple feature requirements including VGA, DVI, HDMI input/output support, resolutions all the way to 4K/30, power over Ethernet (POE), single or dual Tx or Rx in a single module as well as IP transport over copper or fiber. A facility can extend and/or switch video, keyboard and mouse functions, USB 2.0, embedded and analogue audio, RS232 and IR (infrared) all with pristine quality at minimal latency including a clean switching feature.

The KVM over IP technology from Apantac has some unique features; built-in scalers in the Rx units can be enabled to scale the incoming video signal up or down and allows the console monitor to always see the same resolution, thus reducing the monitor stabilization time after a switch. The Rx scalers (one monitor per Rx) also allow users to build Video Walls (up to 8x8). These solutions offer multiple head support, whereby up to four computers/consoles can be switched without any special hardware; simply done by the configuration software. The usual USB 2.0 devices such as touch screens, tablets or USB drives are also supported. Each Tx and Rx module is autonomous and has a configuration web page, which means no extra server is required in order to run a matrix.

Apantac offers a variety of stand-alone modules to choose from, which can be mixed and matched depending on the application at hand. Plus, all modules include a magnetic base for easy and quick installation. Apantac also offers a KVM over IP Tx card for the popular openGear platform. This KVM over IP Tx card is an alternative to using standalone transmission boxes for each computer source in a technical operations room. Up to ten (10) OG-KVM-IP-Tx cards can be mounted in a single openGear chassis with redundant power supplies, providing a cost-effective alternative in space restricted areas.

Apantac will be showing its entire range of KVM over IP solutions at ISE 2020, stand 10.S120.
