Jay Batista to Present and ldquo;Real World Savings through SMPTE IMF Adoption and rdquo; Paper at 2018 Creative Storage Conference

Tedial, the leading independent MAM technology solutions specialist, has announced that Jay Batista, General Manager, US Operations, will be a keynote speaker at the 2018 Creative Storage Conference, which draws creative professionals seeking the latest trends and requirements for digital storage. Batista’s presentation, titled “Real World Savings through SMPTE IMF Adoption”, supports the event’s theme – Storage Enabling Immersive Content. The event takes place on June 7th at the Double Tree Hotel in Culver City, California.
Batista, an industry veteran with over 38-years’ experience in the Media and Broadcast industry, will discuss the basics of IMF and emphasize how its implementation saves storage space, machine cycles (transcodes, AQC, etc.) and distribution bandwidth. Batista will use case studies to illustrate the real-world benefits that actual IMF adopters have realized in production and post production scenarios.
“The emergence of different formats and platforms have amplified the need for content owners to explore reliable workflow and distribution vehicles, with secure and cost-effective storage being critically important,” says Batista. “I’m delighted to discuss IMF with attendees seeking dependable and affordable solutions at the Creative Storage Conference, and show them how it can lead to measurable savings and significantly improved storage efficiency.”
