GlobalM demonstrates its SRT video cloud at CES 2022 in Las Vegas

GlobalM ran a live demonstration of their new SRT video cloud at CES 2022 in Las Vegas. The demo was between Geneva and Las Vegas, at 21Mbps and with just over 500ms of end to end latency. The demo ran continuously for 3 days without dropping a single packet. Click below to watch the video demonstration from the GlobalM stand at CES 2022.

The demo between Geneva and Las Vegas was encoded at 21Mbps H.264 and connected to the GlobalM stream receiver pod in Frankfurt. The stream was then routed over a private IP backbone to a stream sender pod in the California data center. The decoder in Las Vegas was connected to the California sender pod and displayed for participants to see on the GlobalM stand. The end to end latency of just over 500ms is achieved by the patent pending architecture developed by GlobalM.

The demonstration also showed how easy it is to create an SRT multi distribution to other data centers around the globe. Within the GlobalM management portal, it is easy to monitor all connections in real time, no matter what type of SRT encoder or decoder is in use.

The GlobalM video cloud is perfect for any organisation looking to replace traditional satellite or fiber optic links with a lower cost solution offering a very high quality of service.
