SCISYS Media Solutions Announces Major Newsroom Deal with  France Televisions

SCISYS Media Solutionstwonational TV stations, an information channel, 24 regional TV stations, 10 overseas TV and radio stationsand approximately 3000 named users, the new multi-million Euro deal will see France Télévisions’ newsroom operations transition to SCISYS Media Solutions’ flagship OpenMedia Infinity newsroom computer system. This will work in conjunction with the Newsboard unified web-based user interface for journalists and editorial teams.

France T elevisions relies on Sony for news production for its TV channels.

France Televisions, the French public broadcaster, has chosen Sony as the official supplier of its news cameras. This follows a public tender launched in 2014, as part of a project to standardise and upgrade its technology. The objective was to find the optimal way to renew and standardise the range of news and documentary cameras composed of old Sony camcorders and other standard camcorders for all of the newsrooms for the premier French public service broadcasting company.

Wohler Technologies today announced that it has collaborated with local partner Audiopole and France Televisions to provide a rapid solution for France Televisions' specific monitoring needs. Together, the three companies identified the additional audio monitoring functionality that France Televisions desired from its existing AMP1-16M monitoring units, and, within a matter of weeks, the Wohler engineering team had created and delivered a software beta version for testing. Shortly thereafter, France Televisions approved the software and ordered additional AMP1-16M units.

France 3 is the second largest public television channel in France. Part of the France T©l©visions group, it is a network made up of thirteen regional stations dotted throughout France. France Televisions moves forward with Pablo Rio French public national broadcaster, France T©l©visions, has purchased a Quantel Pablo Rio high-end color and finishing system for its graphics design studio, Francet©l©visions signature. The studio, based in Nancy, handles the majority of 2D and 3D post-production for programs broadcast across the France Televisions network, including France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5, France , and overseas channel 1ere. Francetelevisions signature will be using Pablo Rio for both 2D and S3D projects as the studio increases its Stereo3D program production.
