Finepoint Broadcast Pro-AV Sales Manager Paul MacKenzie and Marketing Manager Jordan Bunton-Williams head to London in early October for the AVIXA UK Diversity Council Networking Social Event. The event provides a forum in which attendees can discuss the subjects of diversity and inclusion within the audiovisual industry.
"The focus of this meeting will be on an all-important element which usually gets overlooked in any industry – the human workforce itself rather than the technology,\" says Paul MacKenzie. "My experience of this industry is that it is very open indeed both in social and geographical terms, reflecting its stature as a truly global business. The point we will be making is that success in this business, as indeed any human endeavour, depends on individual talent, personal commitment and above all on a willingness to learn from colleagues, from customers and from competitors. We live at a uniquely exciting time with the AV industry providing the very tools needed to unite diversified workforces into efficient globally-active organisations."
"Finepoint Broadcast itself has an excellent track record both in social and geographical diversity,\" adds Jordan Bunton-Williams. "The company has a long history of recruiting experienced professionals where necessary to maintain technical excellence, and on creating opportunities for industry newcomers to develop the skills and insight necessary to build a successful career. As one of the Finepoint's most recent recruits, I can testify both to its open and inclusive structure as a company and to the excellence of its team at every level. If I don't say that, they will fire me!"
The AVIXA UK Diversity Council Networking Social Event will be held from 18:00 to 21:30 on Wednesday October 9th at the Royal College of Physicians, 11 St Andrews Place, Regent's Park, London NW1 4LE. Attendance is free of charge subject to availability.
