Monroe Electronics and Digital Alert Systems Issue Guidance Ahead of September Nationwide EAS Test Posted: 19/09/2017
Monroe Electronics and its Digital Alert Systems subsidiary, the global leaders in emergency communications solutions for video services providers, today announced guidance for Monroe One-Net(TM) and Digital Alert Systems' DASDEC(TM) users on the upcoming national periodic test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS). The Federal Emergency Management Agency has scheduled a national EAS test for Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 2:20 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.

Broadcast Technology Innovators Team Up for Live Demonstrations of ATSC 3.0 End-to-End Workflows at the 2016 NAB Show Posted: 19/04/2016

At the 2016 NAB Show, Digital Alert Systems, Dolby(R), GatesAir, Harmonic, LG Electronics, Triveni Digital, and Zenith are teaming up to demonstrate live end-to-end ATSC 3.0 workflows for a range of the broadcast capabilities such as 4K and high dynamic range (HDR). Multiple programs of live and prerecorded streams will be displayed in 4K resolution with HDR, delivered at a frame rate of 60 fps along with next-generation audio. The demonstrations will be the first time that broadcasters can observe eight of the nine core ATSC 3.0 technologies being standardized to provide advanced electronic programming/service guides (EPG/ESG), intelligent HDR to standard dynamic range (SDR) conversion for legacy DTV, and other new services and media types supported by the next-generation broadcast television system.

Digital Alert Systems Adds DASDEC Support for DM Engineering Switching Devices Posted: 28/08/2014
Digital Alert Systems, a division of Monroe Electronics, today announced an upgrade to its DASDEC(TM) series of flexible hardware/software emergency messaging platforms. In cooperation with DM Engineering, DASDEC systems now support the DM Engineering Multi-Station Relay Adapter (MSRA) and Multi-Station Relay Expander (MSRE) switching devices. These products are connected via a serial cable then simply configured from the DASDEC's user interface, eliminating the need to completely rewire or replace the switching hardware when upgrading to DASDEC, saving a station time and money.

Digital Alert Systems (DAS), a division of Monroe Electronics and a leading innovator of next-generation Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) and Emergency Alert Systems (EAS), today announced that Bill Robertson, the company's business development manager, will be a panelist for the session "Next-Generation EAS: The Final Stretch" at the 2011 NAB Show as part of the Broadcast Engineering Conference. Scheduled for 9 a.m. on April 13 in room S226, the panel session will address the FCC's new rules and refinements for EAS, as well as the obligations and opportunities presented to broadcasters by FEMA's adoption of CAP.
