MULTI-FUNCTIONAL SYNCHRONISER FOR CRYSTAL VISIONS NEW FRAME SYSTEM Posted: 16/08/2017

Crystal Vision has released a video synchroniser for its new Vision frame system. The best solution for any embedding, de-embedding and timing requirements, SYNNER-VF combines multiple functions on one card to simplify system designs and save broadcast engineers money and rack space. Working with 3Gb/s, HD and SD sources and both AES and analogue audio, SYNNER-VF combines a video synchroniser, tracking audio delay, embedder, de-embedder, audio processor and video proc-amp, and includes flexible delay compensation, advanced handling of Dolby E, comprehensive signal monitoring and optional integrated fibre input/output. SYNNER-VF gives more video outputs than Crystal Vision has offered before on a synchroniser, and takes advantage of the dual reference syncs distributed from the Vision frame, resulting in easier wiring and the option of a backup reference.

FORMAL RELEASE OF CRYSTAL VISIONS IP GATEWAYS AT IBC 2017 (STAND 2.C28) Posted: 18/07/2017

Stand 2.C28 at IBC 2017 will see the formal release of Crystal Vision's future-proof IP gateways, which combine purpose-built video over IP hardware with flexible software-based processing. With useful features including status monitoring, clean switching, sophisticated synchronising (including PTP support), delays and IP traffic shaping, the gateways initially support the SMPTE 2022-6 and SMPTE 2022-7 protocols and can be easily reconfigured via a software upgrade to support SMPTE 2110 essence-based protocols. The introduction of the Vision 1 1U frame brings further flexibility to the Vision frame system, providing housing for up to four cards and incorporating the usual Vision benefits including numerous signal outputs, dual reference syncs distributed from the frame and the ability to be used with higher bandwidth signals such as IP and 4K. The Safire 3 real-time chroma keyer gets improved live operation from the VisionPanel control panel while continuing to benefit from Crystal Vision's acclaimed support and five year warranty.

CRYSTAL VISION RELEASES FIBRE TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER FOR ITS NEW FRAME SYSTEM Posted: 16/03/2017

Crystal Vision has released a fibre optic transmitter and receiver for its new Vision frame system. The FTX-VF dual channel fibre transmitter and FRX-VF dual channel fibre receiver have been designed to transmit and receive 3Gb/s, HD and SD signals over large distances. Meeting the SMPTE 297-2006 short-haul specification, they can be used with single-mode or multi-mode fibre and are perfect for moving signals around in big installations. With up to 20 space-saving cards (40 channels) fitting in 3U, the useful features include full DVB-ASI compatibility and the ability to fit CWDM lasers along with multiple outputs and loop-throughs which reduce the need for additional distribution amplifiers.

CRYSTAL VISION RELEASES DIGITAL AND ANALOGUE VIDEO DAS FOR ITS NEW FRAME SYSTEM Posted: 31/10/2016

Crystal Vision has released two video distribution amplifiers for its new Vision frame system, both with more outputs than the company has ever offered before and including remote control as standard. The 3GDA-VF is a very flexible video distribution amplifier: it can be configured as reclocking or non-reclocking, it will distribute any digital video (3Gb/s, HD and SD) as well as being DVB-ASI compatible, and it is not even limited to video with its ability to distribute MADI audio. Including useful gain, equalisation and clamp adjustments, the VDA-VF analogue video distribution amplifier has been designed to distribute SD Black and Burst or HD tri-level syncs reference, and can also be used to create multiple copies of analogue video. Those using the Vision DAs have discovered that their systems work out cheaper compared to using the company's traditional Indigo range.
