Argosy features Belden REVConnect at ISE 2017

Argosy, a leading international supplier of HD broadcast cables and studio infrastructure products, is introducing Beldens field mountable REVConnect cable termination system to the pro-AV market for the very first time during the ISE 2017 show (Hall 12, stand F68), taking place at the RAI in Amsterdam from 7 February to 10 February 2016.

Since the acquisition of Argosy by IEWC last year, our company has broadened its remit from TV studios and outside broadcast (OB), to pro audio recording and commercial pro-AV applications, said Chris Smeeton, Managing Director, EMEA at Argosy. Bringing our expertise to the pro-AV market is now a major focus for Argosy. As part of this drive, we recently hired Daniel Hinton a specialist from the pro-AV market.

Argosy offers a wiring service to support customers in meeting the changing demands on their businesses. As part of that, Beldens REVConnect is a brand new RJ45 connectivity system that offers single, reliable and easy cable termination covering jack and plug, shielded or unshielded, Category 5e through Category 6A cables.

This versatile connectivity solution is ideal for all sorts of AV applications, including building security systems, LED lighting and sensors, wireless access points, HVAC, digital signage, audio mixing consoles and more.

The use of Beldens REVConnect eliminates the jack, box and patch cord assembly needed to plug into devices. It also ensures a single termination process for every application and has been shown to work over 50 percent faster than other existing connectors. With REV-Connect, termination reworking is reduced to less than 1 percent of all terminations.

In addition, visitors to the Argosy stand can also view a range of mains distribution units, fibre and Ensemble Design active video gear with a focus on intelligent technology, along with Blackmagic, Datavideo, Teradek and Panasonic equipment.

Korean Christian Broadcaster CBS Relies on TVU One Mobile IP Live Video Transmitter to Extend Its Audience Reach Posted: 07/12/2017

Since airing as the first independent radio station in South Korea in 1954, CBS has developed a long-standing reputation of broadcasting high-quality news and entertainment content. Its nationwide radio network has since expanded into 14 branches, and in 2002, the broadcaster began its own Christian television station. Committed to producing high-quality content for all forms of mass communication, earlier this year CBS had been looking for a solution that would enable its news team to transmit reliable HD quality video in the field for publishing on its social media channels and website.
