Altered Images bolsters VFX offering

Leading technology solutions provider, Altered Images, has appointed Matt Seal as its new high-end visual effects and post-production specialist, as part of the company’s increased focus on VFX markets. The company has also announced it is now a reseller for both Autodesk’s range of 3D animation software and pixitmedia’s purpose-built storage solutions, providing sales and support across the entire broadcast, post-production and visual effects workflows.

Seal joins from twelve years spent at 3D software developer, Autodesk, and three at a creative technology partner where he was responsible for the sales and growth strategy in animation, compositing and editing across the broadcast, post, corporate and education markets. He brings a wealth of experience in helping customers adopt new technology solutions, providing the best results for many different creative workflow issues.

Now celebrating its 25th year, Altered Images is a leading expert in workflow system design and major reseller of technology for the broadcast, television production and corporate communications industry. With the addition of Autodesk and pixitmedia products to its portfolio, plus Seal’s appointment, the company hopes to expand on its core post-production workflow strengths to develop its business in fully supporting 3D animation and 2D compositing.

Matt Seal said of the appointment, “I’m delighted and thrilled to now be part of the team at Altered. They have such a huge footprint in the industry already and it’s great to be able to now add to that with the expansion of the VFX side of the business in both sales and hiring. I’m excited about the new opportunities available to us through our collaboration with Autodesk and am looking forward to supporting both new and existing customers to make sure they have the best and most suitable VFX technology requirements for their business success, as well linking up with other existing areas of the Altered business to make sure we offer the best possible outcomes at all times.”

Tony Gill, Altered Images Managing Director, added, “It’s been a great few weeks at Altered, both with Matt’s appointment and our new relationships with Autodesk and pixitmedia. Matt’s technical expertise opens up new business opportunities for the company, since it means we’re in a great position to support our customers as they look to increase their visual effects work. I’m looking forward to growing Altered Images’ business in this exciting area.”
