It's pretty obvious that the media & Entertainment industry is a male dominated industry and you can attend any industry trade show to see that first hand. We were staggered to see 93% of our YouTube viewers are male. We also know that broadcast engineering and technical courses at Universities also struggle to recruit female talent, so what’s going wrong?
Rise is a not-for-profit advocate group for gender diversity within the broadcast manufacturing and services sector. They aim to open up more opportunities for female broadcast professionals. Here we are joined by RISE MD Carrie Wootten and following their successful mentoring programme we are also joined by Joanna Taylor a RISE mentee.
