At IBC2025, Russell Johnson from Hitomi Broadcast demonstrates how MatchBox is now delivering the same trusted accuracy in software workflows as it has long provided in hardware. With software-based production becoming central to broadcast operations, Hitomi Broadcast introduces probes, measurement points that track latency, AV synchronisation, and lip-sync across the workflow.

Russell explains how MatchBox integrates within Grass Valley’s AMPP, providing a timing map and live picture overlays with embedded audio and latency figures. Operators can now visualise delays, drill into signal paths, and confirm sync issues in real time - all within a virtualised environment.
