LIVE IP VIDEO IP VIDEO LiveU has updated its LiveU Solo wireless product so that it now offers one-touch integration to Facebook Live. This allows users to bring HD live streams to Facebook Live streamers on the likes of AOL/Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, Funny or Die and MTV. “Online broadcasters want the same quality as traditional broadcast television, but don’t want to go through a cumbersome process each time they go live,” said Samuel Wasserman, chief executive of LiveU. “Solo combines broadcast-quality encoding technology with plug-and-play ease of use directly to Facebook Live. It is a grab and go solution that anyone can use without a big investment or steep learning curve.” P55_Omnistream.pdf 1 06/10/2016 17:11 TVU Networks will showcase its IP-based live video products at NAB New York, including the MLink TE4500 HEVC and 4k encoder and the RPS (Remote Production System). The MLink TE4500 is a rack-mounted encoder that transmits video using HEVC video compression and Inverse StatMux Plus advanced IP video technology. It delivers the same high quality picture as TVU’s cellular IP-based live video transmitters but with improved compression, requiring less data transmission. The RPS allows for the production of a live, synchronised multi-camera programme in a remote location using a broadcaster’s existing control room in their studio and a public Internet connection from the field. The TVU RPS transmitter encodes up to six synchronised SDI sources and transmits high-quality and low-latency IP video from the remote location to a studio-based receiver, and the receiver outputs six synchronised SDI outputs.
