CAMERA SUPPORT Miller Fluid Heads (stand 12.D30) will use IBC to show off its new arrowX series of fluid heads and the Combo Live Pedestal Series. The arrowX series is a continuation of the Arrow Series and features CB PLUS, a sequential counterbalance design that enables repeatable, accurate and rapid setup. CB PLUS features eight large counterbalance steps and includes a half step switch for counterbalance refinement. The Combo Live Pedestal Series is for live studio applications. It has a carry handle for the column and dolly, is compact and portable and offers an easy setup with column tension control and a safety lock. It also has an air adjustable column system that also allows for quick payload balancing. Other features include precise-smooth low noise in the shot column with a 450mm (17.7 inches) stroke, an independent dolly wheel axle brake system and multiple wheel positions for linear or radius dolly tracking. LIGHTING Cineo Lighting will be showcasing its HSX Color-Tunable Soft Source to the international market for the first time at IBC (Stand 12.D39). The HSX features flicker-free operation, a colour tuning range of 2700k-6000k and measures 290mm x 532mm x 216mm (12in x 21in x 8.5in). It has an output control range of 0-100% with local control, DMX and RDM support and what the company describes as a “straightforward, intuitive control interface that allows adjustments to be made quickly and efficiently without losing precious seconds of a shoot.” Cineo Lighting chief executive Rich Pierceall added: “Years of experience with solid-state lighting and material science have lead us to create this compact 25,000 lumen fixture.” RF Wisycom will showcase a diversity IEM receiver at IBC (stand 8.D78). The MPR50-IEM, designed for professional in-ear monitoring applications, is an update to the MPR30-IEM. It includes the ENS compander which caters to live and music shows/broadcasts by increasing the quality of audio transmission during the transfer of complex data, such as high dynamic audio inputs. Vocal transmission, the main purpose of the previous system, has also been refined and users can switch from IEM to IFB mode using the menu. The company says the new IEM also protects the ears from an accidental volume increase by allowing the user to set a maximum volume with a quick lock volume control. The unit’s LED lights can be set to the users preference and display independent brightness selections. KITPLUS - THE TV-BAY MAGAZINE: ISSUE 116 AUGUST 2016 | 7
