VFX SOFTWARE Imagineer Systems used Siggraph to showcase Mocha Pro 5. The latest version of the planar tracking and VFX software includes GPU speed enhancements and plug- in options for Adobe and Avid applications and The Foundry’s Nuke. The UK-based company also showed a preview for Mocha VR that included new features for processing, tracking and fixing problematic 360-degree footage. According to the company the new tools will aid a range of tasks including camera rig removal, nadir patching and camera stablisation. KVM Adder Technology will demo IP-based KVM and its benefits for the broadcast market at IBC. Included in the company’s showcase will be a number of recent product releases including the new AdderLink XDIP extender which offers USB and audio over a single CatX cable. This enables remote access to critical computing while extending the desktop experience. Another featured product will be the Adder C-USB LAN network extender. Able to be integrated into the AdderLink Infinity Manager or used as a standalone device it delivers high-speed USB 2.0 extension at 480 megabits per second. The extender is considered ideal for file ingest from cameras or other USB devices. The Adder C-USB LAN will form part of a larger demonstration on the stand demonstrating IP-based KVM in the broadcast ecosystem. CLIPPING At IBC Volicon will unveil enhancements for the Share application within its Observer Media Intelligence Platform. The Share application accelerates the content-generation workflow by facilitating the clipping and extraction of timely, high-value content for video editors with any level of experience. During the show, Volicon will demonstrate how the addition of ad clipping, concatenation and publishing functionality features can streamline the repurposing of aired content for broadcast, video-on-demand (VOD), and digital and social media outlets. Also at the show Volicon will highlight tools in its Observer 8.0 platform that can be used for monitoring the SCTE 35 and SCTE 104 messages that enable digital programme insertion (DPI).
