NEWS MANIPULATE & EDIT Video cards Intercom Sound Technology in Letchworth has been named as the UK and Ireland distributor for Tempest’s wireless intercom system. As a result of the agreement Sound Technology will carry a local supply of Tempest products and provide technical support. The distributor of musical instruments and pro audio equipment works with companies across broadcast, touring sound and theatre. Tempest is designed to offer a wired-intercom feature set with the convenience, flexibility and freedom of wireless operation. It is fully compatible with all major 2-Wire and Matrix intercom systems. Ian Cullen, marketing director, Sound Technology said: “ Tempest is an innovative and thoroughly well-thought- out system, which has already seen strong worldwide adoption. We look forward to further expanding the awareness and use of the Tempest system in the U.K. and ROI.” Communications The MediorNet MicroN will be on show at the Riedel Communications stand (M26) during BVE. MicroN is an 80G media distribution network device for Riedel’s MediorNet line of media transport and management products. It is said to provide greater flexibility when building media infrastructures, from signal transport to full video router functionality, including signal processing. The Epoch Supernova CG and Epoch Neutron video cards are now compatible with Brainstorm’s Infinity Set 2.0 virtual set offering, the Aston 1.4 real-time 3D graphics creator, CG and playout application, and eStudio V.14, Brainstorm’s core render engine. The cards enable multi-channel live SDI capture with fill and key SDI outputs delivering Brainstorms rich graphics in real- time. The Epoch Supernova CG is multi-channel HD SDI I/O that allows users to choose between configurable Fill and Key I/O combinations for different workflows. The Epoch Neutron is also multi-channel HD SDI I/O but is available in a low profile form factor with a HDMI preview for low cost monitoring.
