NEWS CAPTURE & PRODUCE High-end cameras Remote cameras AJA Video Systems’ TryCION camera programme is now accepting applications from qualifi ed shooters in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. An extension of the company’s North American promotion announced earlier this year at NAB 2015, TryCION EMEA gives fi lmmakers, cinematographers and camera operators in the region an opportunity to use AJAs CION camera fi rst hand in a production environment. TryCION EMEA will run until the end of the summer. Qualifying applicants will be provided with an AJA CION camera and accompanying accessories on loan. Ikegami will use IBC (Stand 11.A31) to launch a compact HD camera designed for use on remotely controlled pan/tilt heads in applications such as parliamentary television or robotic studios. The HDL-57 has three 2.5 megapixel 2/3-inch CMOS sensors that incorporate active processing circuitry and deliver a digital output to the camera’s digital signal processor. The camera head and controller are housed in a single rectangular unit measuring 90 x 103 x 180 mm and weighing 1.5 kg. The HDL-57, which can be operated remotely or via its rear control panel, can also be used wherever a high- grade fi xed-position compact camera is required for intercutting with the output from full-size studio cameras. www.aja.com/trycion/emea www.ikegami.de Searching? broadcast cameraman Search with full details of hundreds of GTC accredited Camera Operators, Lighting Cameramen, DoPs and specialist cameramen, why go anywhere else? www.gtc.org.uk/search 08 | KITPLUS - THE TV-BAY MAGAZINE: ISSUE 104 AUGUST 2015
