NEWS MANIPULATE & EDIT Audio networking Digigram will highlight products that address the performance and cost requirements of all IP audio and IP video contribution and distribution applications at IBC (Stand 8.C51). In showcasing technology that simplifies the capture and delivery of high-quality audio over IP networks, the company will feature the addition of RAVENNA/AES67 compliance across the IQOYA IP audio product line, as well as functional improvements and interface enhancements brought to the AQORD and AQILIM IP video product ranges with the release of a new version 7 software update for each.  Calrec will use IBC to give debuts to two compact aluminium expansion units that can be used to expand and distribute a Hydra2 network. The new Fieldbox I/O units are said to bring the advantages of Calrec’s Hydra2 stagebox to rugged environments and areas in which rack space is at a premium. The 1U half-rack units are ideally suited for work in OB environments in which I/O must be spread over a large area, such as a golf course. Fieldboxes can be located and distributed exactly where they are needed using just two high-capacity network cables for full redundancy. The second new device is the H2Hub switch point. Using the same form factor as the Fieldbox, the H2Hub provides a hub or switch point for a Hydra2 network. Audio and video over IP Colour correctors New for IBC (Stand 10.B44) is the Cobalt Digital 9980-CSC-3G 3G/HD/ SD-SDI RGB colour-space corrector/frame sync with an integrated test- signal generator for both the openGear framework and Cobalt’s Blue Box Group 1000 Series. The only card of its kind for the openGear ecosystem, the 9980-CSC-3G provides a full-featured 3G/HD/SD colour corrector and an advanced frame sync/pattern generator. RGB-space colour correction with YCbCr proc controls provide lift, gain, saturation, phase, white clip (hard and soft), black clip and colour saturation clip. The built-in pattern generator preceding the colour-correction block allows users to pre-emphasize or de- emphasize by the colour corrector to match on-set camera colorimetry, with the custom settings saved to a pre-set. The result is one-button recall of monitor/camera calibration settings. 16 | KITPLUS - THE TV-BAY MAGAZINE: ISSUE 104 AUGUST 2015
