NEWS MOVE & DELIVER Stand B24 Publishing Primera Technology, a leading manufacturer of CD, DVD and Blu-ray Disc Publishers is presenting its product range of disc publishing and disc duplicating equipment at this year’s Broadcast Video Expo. Cloud PVR Broadpeak has added impulsive recording capabilities to its cloud-PVR technology. By enabling video content for multiple end-users to be recorded and stored only once, either on managed or unmanaged networks, this new feature promises to reduce operator storage costs. Jacques Le Mancq, chief executive of Broadpeak said: “Relying on an innovative combination of cloud- PVR recording methods, our solution allows numerous end-users to request the recording of any portion of a programme in an operator network and to access it at anytime. As a result, operators can reproduce traditional PVR usage without the cost and operational challenges of deploying set-top boxes with massive storage capabilities.” Primera offers several different models, starting with the Disc Publisher SE, a small 20-disc capacity desktop model, and ends with the DP-4100-Series that offers full- colour, 100% coverage discs printed in just six seconds each and separate ink cartridges for cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Primera will also introduce its brand-new Primera Trio, the world’s smallest and lightest portable all-in-one printer. It prints, copies and scans in full-colour or black monochrome and is perfect to print for example video scripts, production notes, etc. ”on-the-road“ wherever and whenever they are needed. It saves a lot of time and therefore money as production time is equally as expensive as broadcasting time.
