BVE NORTH NEWS Showcasing enhanced automated workflows at BVE North ERA Ltd, a leading IT infrastructure and application reseller specialising in Post Production, Broadcast and Media, will be showcasing enhancements to ERA MediaFlow, its innovative workflow automation solution, and present StorageDNA LTO LTFS archiving at BVE North Launched earlier this year and already delivering operational benefits and cost-savings to international media companies, ERA MediaFlow is an enterprise- class multi-client workflow automation solution that effectively controls media assets, projects and resources all through a single web-based platform. Resilient, scalable and feature-rich, ERA MediaFlow helps identify and eliminate bottlenecks in even the most complex workflow and enables effective remote collaboration.  At BVE North the team will demonstrate the latest feature enhancement that allows a DPX sequence to be validated and automatically moved through the workflow as a single object; removing the need to manually control DPX files, simplifying media management and reducing costs. DirectOut, RTW and Junger Audio en route to Manchester T hree renowned German audio manufacturers, DirectOut, RTW and Junger Audio are making their first appearance at BVE North in Manchester this November on Aspen Media’s stand E61. DirectOut is showcasing its range of MADI tools including the M.1K2 a 1024x1024 channel MADI router with two 8 port I/O slots that can be equipped with MADI BNC or SC fibre I/O modules. In addition to its ANDIAMO series of converters, DirectOut is showing members of the expanding EXBOX family of compact MADI converters, range extenders and interfaces that includes EXBOX. BLDS (Buffer Loop Detection System). EXBOX.BLDS has two MADI I/O ports and will automatically switch to the second port should input to the first fail. RTW is bringing its range of EBU R128 compliant TouchMonitor loudness and PPM meters with the star of the show being the new TM3-3G. Designed for use with 3G SDI digital video, TM3-3G also functions as a de-embedder and compact audio monitoring controller. TM3s have a high-resolution touchscreen display and presets are accessed using a smartphone-style swipe. They feature RTWs unique Loudness Range (LRA) indicator, MagicLRA, a simple representation of programme loudness and dynamic range. Those BVE North visitors looking for a means to manage loudness will find the answer with Junger Audios T*AP 8 channel audio processor. Using Jungers Level Magic algorithm, T*AP provides unattended, artefact free loudness control for stereo and 5.1 transmission. The T*AP transmission path can also include Spectral Signature processing that allows fine tuning of a transmissions sonic character more grunt, better intelligibility¦ New additions to studio and OB infrastructure at BVE North Argosy, a leading international supplier of HD broadcast cables and studio infrastructure products, will be showcasing the latest addition to its product range that allow for more efficient operations and a reduction in cost and complexity in the live studio production and outside broadcast environments on its stand at BVE North - stand no. C35. Demonstrated for the first time in the UK will be a new range of IEC-lock mains cables as well as the MIL26 and MIL41 stage boxes and the studio wall box.  The IEC-Lock mains cable incorporates a locking mechanism to fasten it to the earth pin.  The connector features a red button which must be depressed to unlock the lead.  This added feature helps secure critical equipment from mains failure and is an ideal solution for equipment on sliding rack trays or for those placed in OB vehicles where high levels of vibration may be encountered. 24 | TV-BAY MAGAZINE TV-BAY071NOV12.indd 24 06/11/2012 18:09
