For Sale: ARRI Zeiss VP1, VP2, VP3

These lenses are rare as hens teeth in the UK, and Very Under-rated, imho.
I got this set about 10 years ago from Visual Products in the US, simply because I felt like it was too good an opportunity to pass up. They had thoroughly serviced them, re-inscribed focus markings and re-collimated so they were (and still are!) performing as new. Since then they've only been used a handful of times, so are still in incredible condition. Right now I'm preparing for a home move, so need to reduce belongings to assist with this...

There are many internet discussions of the VPs various merits - but in my experience the takeaway is: really big to deserve the name 'prime' - but once you get used to the added bulk and weight, they save a lot of time. And the images look really, really good: think Gangs of New York.

Essentially they’re T* coated 2x parfocal zooms with a constant T/2.1 aperture: 16-30mm, 29-60mm and 55-105mm. But the design brief was apparently to make their image quality match Ultra Primes at all focal lengths - essentially meaning that you can view more than an entire inventory of prime lenses with only two changes. 

Each lens comes in the original Arri case, of which at least one has had the internal foam replaced. Despite this level of protection, I'd really advise against shipping the lenses simply because they're delicate and fiddly to repair.

Viewing/testing in Hackney, east London is strongly encouraged. I can provide a camera and monitor in situe for this purpose if required.
