BVE in the video on-demand era
N/A Within the last ten years, on-demand culture has changed the way that the world accesses media. From Prime Ministers Questions on Wednesday afternoons to Champions League highlights on a Tuesday evening, there is no longer any excuse to miss anything that we would otherwise tune into live. The same now goes for exhibitions, as not only is it hard enough to secure days off from the working calendar, it can often become impossible to get to every stand, hear every speaker and get to grips with each industry trend.

3D Diaries Cameras: more for less
Bob Pank# There is plenty of guidance available about how to shoot good stereo 3D and the principles are quite easy to understand. Achieving good results takes good equipment and, maybe, the assistance of a stereographer and even a convergence puller... unless you are using one of those twin-lens cameras where most of the parameters are fixed except for the convergence point.

Sam Usher, Managing Director, Red Handed TV LTD
N/A Started life as a contemporary dancer, living in Brussels dancing and choreographing for some of the great companies. The aim was always to become a choreographer. Decided to move back to the UK and realized quite quickly I wasn't going to make any money in the UK arts scene so I started to learn about filmmaking. So fast forward 14 years and I now run Redhanded TV, doing a lot of live sport, especially sailing, which I direct with the choreographers eye.

Ask the expert exhibition travel
N/A The single most important thing about exhibitions is that customers go to trade shows with the sole intention of finding out what new solutions exist for their current problems. They want to know what you have to offer, and how you can meet their challenges. They positively want to talk about budgets and timescales. Why would you not want to be there?

Getting back to basics on HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR GRIP AND SUPPORT SYSTEMS
N/A When looking to purchase grip and support systems there are now a variety of different options available to the dedicated cameraman and this potential minefield of different equipment, at varying prices, can seem daunting and confusing at first. Whats the difference between a shoulder support, steady mount and a stabilizer? Are slide rail systems really the best tracking option for my camera? Can I put a DSLR on that mount?

Eye to Eye: Whats new in lighting
N/A The majority of modern digital video cameras and D-SLRs are capable of delivering high-quality images provided the lighting conditions are good. Attempting to shoot in low light introduces the risk of noise and limited depth of field. Whatever the claimed camera sensitivity, good lighting is as essential today as ever. The following is a short overview of video lighting products introduced in the past 12 months. It reads a bit like a fast-food menu. If you get bored with all the LED stuff, feel free to skip to the concluding paragraph.
