Walking into manufacturing with a Dedleg
Paul Zanders I've been a freelance recordist since 1999. I've been lucky enough to be busy, working with many crews on some major shows like The Apprentice, Masterchef, X Factor, Top Gear, and many documentaries and corporate videos. I've worked with some great cameramen and some fantastic sound recordists. I enjoy what I do very much but for me and fellow recordists there has always been one big problem in that we have to wear the equipment we use.

Post Production
N/A The global financial downturn is having a significant impact on every industry and television is suffering too. The programme budgets of most channels are being held or cut making the costs of producing content significant in the decision on whether programmes and series are aired. Yet the demand remains for bigger, bolder and more cinematic styles and effects in television programmes. The challenge to post-production is how to achieve these high production values but at the same time reducing costs.
