Talking to people in the broadcast industry, it is clear that travelling to shows, exhibitions or to visiting customers and suppliers is still part and parcel of the trade we are in. As the saying goes, people buy from people.
And obviously it has its perks, including visiting places with slightly warmer climates than the freezing UK. But the biggest gripe I hear is how much time is wasted looking for the right hotel in the right location for the right price. Given the ability to book online you can do a lot of checking yourself, but how often are you sure you find the perfect match? Not often.
The same applies to flights. You can find cheap deals online, certainly, but will they give you the flexibility you need for those times when travel plans change?
That is why EF Travel was set up in 2002, specialising in the broadcast and communications industries, and focusing on shows like IBC, NAB, Cabsat, Broadcast Asia and the rest.

My colleague Sarah and I personally attend all the big shows, and are on hand to discuss last minute changes to plans and to effect the odd rescue.
