Timeline TV chooses Custom Consoles Module-R Desks for Ealing Broadcast Centre PCR 1-3 and SCR 2

UK-based technical services provider Timeline Television Ltd has chosen eight Custom Consoles Module-R desks for integration into the newly completed Production Control Rooms 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and Sound Control Room 1.2 at its recently opened Ealing Broadcast Centre. "Custom Consoles technical furniture has a well-deserved reputation for robust build quality and ergonomic excellence," says Timeline CEO Daniel McDonnell. "Back in mid 2021, we specified desks from the Module-R series for a video production gallery, MPX suite and audio control studio. Module-R gives us the freedom to select the design parameters we need from a standard set of modules. This is price-efficient and allows relatively fast delivery. We also appreciate the ability to modify or expand the desks to match future workflow. Module-R was the logical choice for the three new PCRs and for SCR 2. Once again, Custom Consoles were able to install promptly and effectively."

Scality offers enterprise-grade support for ARTESCA on VMware vSphere
Posted: 29/06/2022
Scality announced today that Scality ARTESCA lightweight, cloud-native object storage software is now officially supported on VMware vSphere/ESXi virtualisation environments. This provides production-level ARTESCA virtual machine (VM) support for vSphere users, with functionality equal to that on physical servers, along with additional deployment flexibility. Virtual machine support is especially valuable in this time of supply chain issues that are causing long lead times for physical storage server hardware, which can delay enterprise priorities.

Prism Sound Titan Interface Impresses The Realest Puppet in The Game
Posted: 15/06/2022
Prism Sound’s multichannel Titan Audio Interface now has pride of place in the studio of Reid Stefan, the US-based producer, composer and educator who is otherwise known as The Realest Puppet In The Game. Reid’s decision to invest in a Titan was made after he heard the unit in action at Luca Pretolesi’s Studio DMI facility in Las Vegas, USA. The six times Grammy nominated mixing and mastering engineer is Reid’s mentor and he has been using Prism Sound conversion for many years. “I figured they must be special if Luca had one in his desk,” Reid explains. “Music sounds so natural and wide in his rooms, and even in headphones, but having used common consumer interfaces for more than 10 years, I wasn’t sure if I’d ever be able to switch brands or re-think my workflow. However, I was very curious to find out good all-in-one audio interfaces really could sound, especially as my previous interface was good at everything. I wanted to see if an interface from a company like Prism Sound that specialises in input/output sound quality and conversion was any better.” |
