Korea Racing Authority Trots to the Finish Line With AJA Ki Pro GO Posted: 28/09/2021
Korea Racing Authority Trots to the Finish Line With AJA Ki Pro GO

Korean Racing Authority (KRA) is the lead horse racing company in the nation, hosting equestrian races and recreational events across venues in Seoul, Busan and Jeju. During a recent broadcast system upgrade, the Busan branch of the KRA installed two AJA Ki Pro GO digital recorders to streamline failproof primary and backup H.264 recording to central network-attached storage (NAS). The dual Ki Pro GOs capture races directly to the NAS storage volume, allowing the team to easily and instantly share recordings with multiple users for archival and post-production purposes. Recorded footage is edited via NLEs, then distributed immediately for on-demand viewing via web channels, including the KRA website, YouTube and Kakao TV.

Adventurer Filmmaker Renan Ozturk Takes Teradek RT to Costa Rica

Some of the world’s most spectacular views are best seen from halfway up a wall of rock. That’s a place where gear has to be reliable, whether it’s crucial safety equipment or the cameras that let the rest of us experience the same dizzying panorama. It’s also a familiar situation to alpinist Renan Ozturk, whose experience includes some of the steepest climbing challenges on the planet as well as documentary filmmaking and photojournalism covering everything from the freezing Himalayas to the African deserts of Chad.

REVIEW - Hollyland MARS 400S PRO Digital Wireless Transmission System
Phil Vinter

Built by Hollyland and costing around £600 the Mars 400S is an easy-to-use wireless video transmitter/receiver system – it will be right up the alley of anyone who, like me, considers an instruction manual to be nothing more than box padding.

HOLLYLAND LARK 150 Review
Phil Vinter

The exponential growth of video supercharged a technological revolution that began in the early noughties with the advent of DSLR cameras.
The cinematic-style shallow depth of field image video quality from DSLRs was a revelation, but, back then audio was the big drawback. As demand has grown so the technology has improved and today’s one-man-band small rig set ups can capture pretty good sound into a DSLR style camera.

Phil Vinter reviews the latest release from HOLLYLAND and it's a thumbs up from us.

ERA IaaS at University of Salford
KitPlus The University of Salford (UoS) is widely recognised in both academic and professional circles as a leading educational establishment in acoustics and media production. In 2011 the University moved its television and radio courses from its main campus just outside Salford city centre into the Orange Tower on the main piazza of MediaCityUK (MCUK).

This purpose-built hub for broadcasters, facility houses and production companies was created when redevelopment of the old Salford Quays docks area began in 2007. UoS was among the first institutions to consider moving to MCUK, along with the BBC, which had already committed to transfer many of its departments from London.
