TRACAB, a Chyron brand, has announced a partnership with the German Football Association (Deutscher Fußball-Bund, or DFB) by which the DFB will use TRACAB technology to collect position data from matches for all senior national teams, U-teams, and the annual DFB-Pokal competition. Leveraging video from camera systems installed at match venues, and using a state-of-the-art mobile tracking system at un-installed venues, TRACAB will capture data on player positioning multiple times per second with centimeter accuracy. DFB will use this data to analyze player and team performance in a much more comprehensive and consistent manner. |
