MILLER TRIPODS PROVIDE ALL-IN-ONE FLUID HEAD SOLUTIONS FOR CINEMATOGRAPHER ANT and Oacute;NIO MORAIS
When Sony unveiled the Venice, its first full-frame cinema camera system, Cinematographer Antonio Morais couldn’t wait to get his hands on it. Knowing his camera is only as good as its supporting platform, Morais once again turned to Miller Camera Support LLC, through EACAMPOS, the official local dealer, to put the highly anticipated camera to the test for his work on the Portuguese film, A Sound in Motion. The film, fully shot in the city of Porto, is a fictional story based on the way deaf people adapt themselves to normal daily life situations.

TVFutures - Location Assistant
Maddison Young Hi, my name is Maddison Young and I am an undergraduate on BSc (Hons) Television and Broadcasting at the University of Portsmouth. If there is one consistent message being given to students these days it is ‘move out of your comfort zone, and get real industry work and experience’! It’s a scary message, and my first year saw me take mostly internal and ‘safe’ experiences within the realms of the university. I was determined to change this approach as a second year student.

State of the Nation - January 2019
Dick Hobbs - new I’m writing these thoughts on the morning of 20 December. From my desk in Tunbridge Wells I am normally gently aware of air traffic at five thousand feet, lining up to land at Gatwick Airport. Today it is silent: since 9.00 last night some idiot has been flying drones across the runway.

KitPlus The world of broadcasting is in constant flux, with undefined boundaries between broadcast, TV, film and interactive media. DJI Ronin-S Review
Tim Bearder

If you read my review of the GH5 in Issue 129 at the beginning of the year, you know I’m a filmmaker that is all about small form factor. My basic setup combines the tiny yet powerful mirrorless Panasonic GH5 with the wonderfully compact Sennheiser AVX wireless mic system. Together you’ve got a run and gun set up to die for.

Unless you actually run!

A Sound in Motion QA
Antonio Morais “A Sound in Motion started as a camera test for the new Sony VENICE CineAlta 6K Digital Cinema Camera and evolved into a much bigger project. The film, presented by Golpe Filmes and released this summer, was directed/edited by Ricardo Teixeira. It is a fictional story based on the way deaf people adapt themselves to daily life situations. The intent of the film is to be a positive influence in the way people think about the ‘differences in human beings’ and about issues related to social inclusion, but without turning it into something moralistic or that seems fundamentalist. Through sounds not speech, words or verbal expression we want to relay a positive message and display a clear gaze upon that difference.”
