With its recent deployment of a Riedel Communications Bolero wireless intercom system, United Studios of Israel (USI) has significantly enhanced communications capabilities across its expansive Hertzliya Studios. DHD.audio mixing consoles have been chosen for the newly launched Radio Flamingo channel operating from studios at the headquarters of Antenne Steiermark Regionalradio in Graz, Austria. Ghost VFX, a leading visual effects house and part of the Streamland Media community of post production businesses, announced Patrick Davenport has been appointed Ghost VFX president. Tom Kendall, previously serving as Ghost VFX president, has taken on the new role of head of Business Development, Sales and Marketing for the company. Rounding out the team, Paul Richards has joined Ghost as EVP of Technology and Crys Forsyth-Smith has been named EVP of Global Production. In March 2020, The People’s Court’s production was abruptly paused due to the effects of the pandemic. Six Ikegami HDK-73 3-CMOS high dynamic range camera systems plus a Hi-Motion II slow-motion camera have been chosen by Oman TV for integration with an outside broadcast production vehicle. Operating from Oman TV’s headquarters in the capital city, Muscat, the newly enhanced vehicle will be deployed for live coverage of sports, cultural and news-related events throughout the sultanate. The equipment was supplied by Ikegami Electronics Europe via local integrator Al Nemer Al Aswad, based in Muscat.
