The Anycast Station is an integrated, portable and easy to use solution that can be used by customers that require professional results and mobility. The Anycast Station's all-in-one design helps keep set-up time to a minimum, and allows it to be easily moved from location to location. Measuring just 424 x 114 x 354 mm (W x H x D) and weighing around 8kg, the Anycast Station is compact enough to be carried by hand, yet has a number of professional features you would expect for live event content production - including RGB and video inputs and outputs.

The Anycast Station now has two optional interface modules that extend the system's wide capabilities: the BKAW-560 HD Analogue Component I/O Module and the BKAW-590 HD-SDI I/O Module. End users can now migrate from analogue to digital or SDI to HD simply by swapping the modular BKAW interface cards.

  • Convenient all-in-one solution

As the Anycast Station has many integrated functions in one unit, it can save valuable time and labour when setting up and packing away.

Fewer potential hardware issues as the video switcher, audio mixer and monitor are integrated into one system.

  • Highly Portable

Its compact size means that the Anycast Station can be easily moved from location to location and is even small enough to be carried by hand.

  • Scalability

The Anycast Station allows a number of cameras, storage solutions and additional hardware to be connected to meet your needs.

  • Flexibility

Can be used for various live events broadcasting, web streaming and storage for post-production editing.

  • Accessibility

The Sony Anycast brings professional quality, usability, and high portability at an affordable price to any event.

DHD.audio withdraws from IBC 2021

Following many years of active participation in the International Broadcasting Convention, DHD.audio announces the company's withdrawal from IBC 2021 due to the current situation in Amsterdam and the wider Netherlands.

The DHD management board places health and safety above all other considerations. We do not feel justified in asking employees, partners and customers to participate in this year's exhibition. We hope to see all our partners and customers again at IBC 2022 or in other formats such as online-meetings or suitably safeguarded personal visits.

Meeting the specification
Chris Smeeton

A good technical specification will detail precisely what is required, from the equipment to the cables connecting it. Many specifications will give  particular manufacturers and model numbers. On many occasions, this makes tendering simple and gives vendors a secure and fair way to bid.

REVIEW - Hollyland MARS 400S PRO Digital Wireless Transmission System
Phil Vinter

Built by Hollyland and costing around £600 the Mars 400S is an easy-to-use wireless video transmitter/receiver system – it will be right up the alley of anyone who, like me, considers an instruction manual to be nothing more than box padding.

HOLLYLAND LARK 150 Review
Phil Vinter

The exponential growth of video supercharged a technological revolution that began in the early noughties with the advent of DSLR cameras.
The cinematic-style shallow depth of field image video quality from DSLRs was a revelation, but, back then audio was the big drawback. As demand has grown so the technology has improved and today’s one-man-band small rig set ups can capture pretty good sound into a DSLR style camera.

Phil Vinter reviews the latest release from HOLLYLAND and it's a thumbs up from us.

ERA IaaS at University of Salford
KitPlus The University of Salford (UoS) is widely recognised in both academic and professional circles as a leading educational establishment in acoustics and media production. In 2011 the University moved its television and radio courses from its main campus just outside Salford city centre into the Orange Tower on the main piazza of MediaCityUK (MCUK).

This purpose-built hub for broadcasters, facility houses and production companies was created when redevelopment of the old Salford Quays docks area began in 2007. UoS was among the first institutions to consider moving to MCUK, along with the BBC, which had already committed to transfer many of its departments from London.
